Family Law
Family law or matrimonial law incorporates family matters and domestic relationships such as marriage and civil unions, divorce and annulment, child custody and the best interests of the child, maintenance, child abuse and domestic violence, including protection orders, section 28 orders for custody battles as well as contested divorces.
Estate Law
An estate’s administration is a time-consuming operation. To guarantee proper compliance with the Administration of Estates Act, 66 of 1965, several measures must be done in the correct order. Civil and Criminal Litigation

Human Rights Law
The overall purpose of our strategic litigation work is to support victims of human rights violations and human rights defenders, and to achieve systemic change. Supporting victims of human rights violations and safeguarding human rights defenders often involves being involved in legal proceedings (litigation). Litigation is the term used to describe proceedings initiated between two opposing parties to enforce or defend a legal right. In human rights, litigation is “strategic” when it is consciously designed to advance the clarification, respect, protection and fulfilment of rights.
The idea is to change laws, policies and practice, and to secure remedies or relief following violations. Strategic litigation is also often about raising public awareness of an injustice. Our strategic litigation work combines our legal expertise with that of PANDA’S researchers, campaigners and advocates throughout the litigation process. We also work in collaboration with other prominent human rights organizations worldwide.

Labour Laws in South Africa, including the basic conditions of employment act, labour relations act, national minimum wage act, employment equity act, unemployment insurance act, occupational health and safety legislation with regulations as well as dealing with the implications of covid on businesses and forced retrenchments in large companies
Divorce
The divorce process in South Africa is relatively straightforward, yet the financial and emotional consequences can be profound, especially since most divorces are normally lodged in the High Court.
The other harsh reality is that the High Courts in South Africa have overly burdened court rolls, and parties normally have to wait a long time for their divorce matter to go to trial when their divorce is contested.
